About Our Farmers Local organic growers, market gardeners and green thumbs bring their fresh produce to the market. Saturday mornings you will find them busy setting up their tables with the season's best. Early in the season the tables are loaded with peas, lettuces, greens, radishes, new potatoes, and herbs. Later, the season brings varieties of berries, peppers, broccoli, peaches, pickling cucumbers, carrots, corn onions, squash, tomatoes, apples, and much more. Look for unusual and heirloom varieties also.
Color spots, perennials, herbs, and bedding plants all can be found at the Farmers' Market. These plants have been raised locally and grow well in our coastal climate. Ask the seller to help you decide what will be best for your garden conditions. Choose from a wide variety of species for sunny spots and shade, rich soil and poor, something for everyone! There is also an abundance of cut flowers. Choose to buy by the stem or a beautiful arrangement. Dried flowers and herbs are also available in bunches and fragrant wreaths and swags. |
